Campaign Highlights

North Shore has enjoyed success in Ohio's recent election cycles.  Some highlights include:
2011: Dennis Eckart made a significant impact when representing the "no" vote on State Issue 2 in two highly publicized debates, one at the City Club in Cleveland and one hosted by NBC and seen in primetime across the state.  Issue 2, a referendum to let the voters of Ohio decide whether public workers should be able to retain their bargaining rights and other key workforce issues, was soundly defeated with a 62-38 margin.

2009: State Issue 3 offered Ohioans the choice to allow casino gaming in the state.  NorthShore Associates worked closely with Dan Gilbert and the Issue 3 team to help create a viable statewide strategy as well as build strong grassroots support in Northeast Ohio and worked hard to execute both to perfection.  The result: the previous statewide casino issue carried only 6 counties with 37% of the vote. 2009's Issue 3 won 30 counties and garnered 54% of the vote.
2008:  Dennis and Eddy provided strategic advice and advance work to the Obama campaign in the primary and general elections.  Eddy served as Grassroots Field Director for State Issue 2, the renewal of the Clean Ohio Fund.  Issue 2 won with 69% of the vote.

2006: Dennis served as primary strategic advisor for Sherrod Brown's Senate campaign to unseat Mike DeWine.
